                 I BRAIN ODTÜ

I have watched the video of METU’s slogan ‘I brain ODTÜ’ and I have been impressed from it very much. It makes me proud of myself and I feel lucky to be a member of METU. I think ‘I brain ODTÜ’ is the most effective slogan I have ever heard. Firstly it emphasize that  ‘ODTÜ’lü’ people use their brains mostly and they are intelligent people. It is mentioned in the video that METU people think freely and express their ideas as freely as they think. They do not accept any borders or limitations. Everybody respects other people’s ideas even if they are totally different.I agree with this idea because I see different people in campus everyday and they are talking about their beliefs , sharing their thoughts but  I have never seen any fight or discussion. Secondly, in my opinion, brain is very important figure for our slogan because it emphasizes that a person from METU always thinks and s\he   is never satisfied with the existing knowledge. S\he questions, investigates and develops. For example; I am more curious abaut new things  until i am METU student. I read a lot and imrove myself.  And finally the thought of ‘changing the world’ is especially  important. Like people taking part in the video, I think we can change the world, starting from our  immediate environment. METU is the most suitable environment  to be center of change.  Student, teachers and all staff learn a lot of things from METU  and teach their immedite environment . The change  starts here. To sum up, I brain ODTÜ. This univercity makes people use their brains effectively. It encourages people to be more intellectual.
